Mary S. DiRenzo was born in 1910 and came to the United States in 1913 with her parents. At age 10, her father died forcing Mrs. DiRenzo to quit school and help supper her mother, three sisters, and baby brother. The scholarship was established in honor of her, to help active Accounting student members of Beta Alpha Psi.
