CalRTA Laura E. Settle Foundation Scholarship
- The intent of this scholarship is to support students pursuing a teaching career.
- Must be a California resident
- Admitted/enrolled in a teaching credential program
Recepient will be invited to a meeting of the California Retired Teachers Association.
- Preferably a student in the School or Department of Education,average to high scholarship; record of exemplary character and citizenship.
The Laura E. Settle foundation was established in the early 1950s in memory of Carlota’s primary founder and first president, Laura E. Settle, a retired Pasadena school teacher, oversaw the creation of Carlota in 1929 and established its reputation as the primary protector of teachers’ pensions.
