The Dustin Granville Scholarship Endowment was established by family and friends who wish to remember and honor Dustin by providing support to Geography and Planning students at California State University, Chico. It is their intention that this scholarship will assist students who share the passion Dustin had for environmental issues, and who plan to pursue activities and careers that embrace and promote sustainable values. Dustin earned his BA in Geography and Philosophy in 2006, and was a graduate student in the Department of Geography and Planning at theti me of his death. His GIS map “The Taco Truck Journey” won second place at the 2005 Annual California Geographic Society meeting. Dustin was passionate about walking and biking accessibility for Chico businesses and newly built structures. He was an avid disc golfer, so his friends planted a manzanita tree at the Bidwell Park disc golf course in his memory.
