In 1985 Ann T. Pierce and her father, Frederick C. Trucksess, established a scholarship endowment in memory of her mother, Frances H. Trucksess. The endowment has become one of the most significant sources of support for students in the Department of Art and Art History. Ann Pierce was a watermedia insturctor and served as chair of the Art Department. She is a highly regarded artist, as were both of her parents. Ann continued her passion of teaching after retirement and with her own grandchildren, instilling her family’s legacy of appreciation for the arts.
