Delta Kappa Gamma International Society was founded in 1929 to unite women educators world wide. Alpha Nu, our local Chico Chapter, was founded in 1941. Ella C Sapp was founding member. She retired in 1962 after 42 years of teaching at local schools. As a major benefactor to the University and other entities including Alpha Nu, her generosity lives on to this day through a scholarship and alumni office in her name.
