David and Karen Egly Memorial Scholarship

• Undergraduates
  Rotates between engineering departments and computer science each year as determined by the College of ECC.
  This scholarship will benefit students in engineering or computer science who need financial help. Ir is meant tol be a memorial to Dave and Karen. David Egly graduated from California State University, Chico in June 1962, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then went to work at Aerojet Techsystems in Sacramento, Titan systems, and the Space Shuttle. At the time of his death, September 9, 1986, he was Program Manager for the orbital maneuvering engines for the Space Shuttle. Karen Egly was David’s daughter who spent one semester at Chico State and graduated from CSU, Sacramento in May 1986. She majored in Computer Science and minored in Business and went to work for KVIE, in Sacramento. In July 1988, she was killed in an automobile accident.
