Carrie Ann Rood Memorial Scholarship

• Preference is for a reentry student who best exemplifies the professional skills and commitments of a register nurse.

Ann Rood earned her BA in the College of Natural Sciences at CSU, Chico in 1953. She also obtained a degree in nursing from Providence School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon. It was Anne’s wish that her daughters, also contributors to this endowed scholarship, continue her legacy of support for students at Chico State. The Rood Daughters, Shelley, Carrie, and Stephanie, have renamed the scholarship to the “Carrie Ann Rood Memorial Scholarship.”
