J. M. Long Foundation Retail Business Scholarship

• Major: Business Administration, option Marketing with emphasis in retail.
• Must demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in the retail business.
• Class level: students entering their junior or senior year

Stephen Roath, former president of Longs Drugs, established this scholarship to provide support to business students interested in retail. Roath said, “We like Chico grads for their work ethic and skills that are given them here. The ability to communicate is another strong Chico characteristic.” This scholarship was the first scholarship created by Longs Drugs, now known as CVS Pharmacy, where pharmacy was not taught.
