John Henry Ziegler was a former Chico State University accounting professor. He attended several universities including Akron University, Harvard University, Kent State University, Ohio State University, and more. John was a very accomplished man who served in the military during World War II, authored five university textbooks, and was a recipient of the Outstanding Educators of America in 1973 and the Distinguished Service Award of the Ohio Society of CPAs of 1968. Also, he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi and Delta Sigma Pi fraternities. Before he died in 1991, he established this scholarship in 1968 to support a deserving student majoring in accounting
