• Preference for students who have at least one year experienced employed in social work or related field.

Prior to joining the School of Social Work in 1974, Professor O’Donnell worked as a full-time social worker in the areas of development disabilities and public mental health. She also provided clinical services for two to four hours a week over the past 20 years for families who members have experienced severe negect, sexual, or physical abuse.
Professor O’Donnell is passionate about social work and her efforts to bring professional social work services to the north state are unparalleled.
