Marge Kendall Interdisciplinary Studies Scholarship

• Any major

• Scholarship for first-time or continuing graduate student, classified status.

• Applicant will describe and offer evidence of on-going participation as a player in a women’s or co-educational competitive or non-competitive sport or recreational/physical activity.

Throughout her school years at Chico State, Marge Kendall participated in a variety of sports including basketball, softball, and field hockey. Following graduation, Marge continued playing field hockey on a club team of the Northern CA Field Hockey Association. Recognizing Marge’s athletic achievements while a Chico State student, the Chico State Athletic Hall of Fame Committee inducted her posthumously into the Hall of Fame. Her name appears on the Hall of Fame Board in Acker Gym. During her 30 years teaching at Davis High School, Marge taught history and world civilizations. Marge Kendall lived a full life, a life with meaning and fulfillment, a true sportswoman.
