Megan Lee Hudzip, age 24, passed away from an asthma attack on January 28, 2001. She was just at the beginning of her dreams. Megan was working as a scientist’s assistant for the California Department of Water Resources, trying to save the land along the Sacramento River. She loved being with nature and spent most of this time caring for animals and plants, but most of all dancing. Megan’s family and friends left her along the Sacramento River among the trees she loved. The Department of Water Resources placed a marker in a grove of tall oaks in tribute to a young woman who loved all of nature and gave totally of herself.
