Gary Pleasant Memorial Scholarship

Gary Pleasant, BS 1966, was the first person in his family to attend and graduate from college. He felt his CSU, Chico School of Business background contributed to his career successes. Gary went on to become Senior VP to sales with Simmons Bedding, Co. In his 41-year career in the bedding industry, Gary continually encouraged his West Coast Division to recruit from the Business School at Chico because he thought so highly of the program and its graduates. Education was a high priority with Gary. He also earned a MBA from Golden Gate University and did graduate studies at the University of Virginia. Gary would want to financially help and encourage a CSU, Chico business student. Gary paid for his own education by working and taking out student loans, and he would appreciate being able to help a needy student.
