Jack and Maxine Vanella Scholarship

• Agriculture major with emphasis in Plant Sciences
• Minimum overall gpa 3.0.
• Financial need but with less emphasis that scholarship
  Background: Jack Vanella served in the Navy in WWII, then worked for Del Monte, J.G. Bratton and Butte Feed and Warehouse. From 1961-1968 he owned the Vanella Farm Store, then for five years worked for Oxydental Chemical Co. and later opened Jack’s Orchard Supply which he owned and operated until he passed away in 1995. He married Maxine in 1938. He was a member of many community groups, was a past director of the Silver Dollar Fair and chaired the Junior Livestock Auction for more than 30 years. Jack and Maxine’s children, Tom, Bob , Daryl and Cheryl, continue to steward this endowment in memory of their parents.
