Frank Burk Memorial Scholarship

• Major in the Department of Math and Statistics
• Upper division or graduate students
• 2.5 minimum overall gpa with 3.5 gpa in math courses (Math department will certify).
• Preference given to students with financial need but not required.
  Frank Burk joined the faculty at CSU, Chico as a member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 1968. He taught 37 years at Chico State and Butte College before retiring in 2004. Following retirement, he taught an additional two spring semesters at CSU, Chico. Frank is the author of two books, while the second one was released by the Mathematical Association of America in May 2007. Math was his lifelong passion, which is why he wanted to establish a scholarship to support Mathematics majors at Chico State.
