Women studies student Jen O’Hare died tragically in an accident. Even as she reeled from this loss, Jen O’s mother, Linda, chose to memorialize her daughter by establishing a $ 1,000 women’s studies scholarship in her name. This scholarship was specifically designed to recognize and honor the core of what Jen was: a woman dedicated to the demanding, never-ending, hard work of living authentically, of building self based on honesty, awareness, and deeply caring interaction with others, above all a life dedicated to developing personal integrity in service of social justice.
