Professor Emeritus Maurice Mow is a well-respected mentor to hundreds of students and a strong advocate for the civil engineering profession at both local and national levels. He was advisor to the campus chapter of the ASCE which was recognized as the number one student chapter nationally and served on several national ASCE accreditation committees. He was department chair for ten years during a period where the CE program underwent three successful ABET accreditations. Under his leadership civil engineering students achieved unprecedented successes in regional and national student competitions. Dr. Mow has also played a significant role in forging numerous corporate partnerships that have resulted in greater employment for graduates.
