Philip Michael Batlin was a wonderful, dynamic, charming, intelligent individual who enjoyed life to the fullest and loved being with family and friends. Philip was born in May 1973 and he grew up in S. San Francisco and Pinole, CA. At the age of seventeen Philip moved to San Bruno for a few years before moving to Chico. He was involved in soccer, Boy Scouts, and at fourteen he became a Pinole Police Cadet for three years, at which time when he moved to San Bruno and was also involved with the Millbrae Police Department. Phillip attended Butte Jr. College for one year before entering California State University, Chico earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Recreation and Parks Administration in 1997, and he had begun a successful career in Restaurant Management. Philip was a active volunteer for the Chico Community Action Volunteer in Education and a volunteer for the Rape Crisis Center. He loved music and the great outdoors and was an avid Giants fan. Philip Michael Batlin was tragically taken from his family on March 17, 2004 at the age of 30. We, as Philip’s family, want Philip’s memory to continue and help others and we know only so well that is what Philip would have wanted. We do not want Philip to be forgotten.
