Meuter/Swor Memorial Geography Scholarship

Major in Geography.

The Meuter/Swor Memorial Geography Scholarship was originally established in 1982 by contributions from colleagues and friends of Dr. Ralph F. Meuter, professor of geography, in memory of his father Leland Charles Meuter. Dr. Meuter continued to support the scholarship along with friends and family, and when his brother Leland Charles Meuter, Jr. passed away, the fund was revised to honor both individuals. In 2005, Ralph and Marilee Meuter requested their other scholarship endowment established in memory of Bruce and Julia Swor, Marilee’s parents, be combined with the Leland Charles Meuter Memorial Geography Scholarship endowment to create the current Meuter/Swor Memorial Geography Scholarship. This scholarship is intended to honor and remember Leland Charles Meuter, Sr., Leland Charles Meuter, Jr. and Bruce and Julia Swor, by providing assistance to an outstanding student majoring in geography.
