Recipient must be a First-Generation college student, from the Chico State Service Region (Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra,
Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, and Yuba counties), interested in a career in K-8 teaching.

Recipient must mention having a future career working within the K-8 grade levels within their application.

Preference will be given to recipients who are from Butte County.

Preference will be given to recipients who speak a second language.

Scholarship is renewable for up to two years, if the recipient continues to meet all requirements.
